Nick runs a popular sports blog, called Rangers Tribune, about his local professional hockey team. He wanted to make the front page look more like a news website than a standard blog and to revamp the overall design. He contacted Typepad blog services and requested a custom design service.
TypePad recently added a customization option for when you to share your posts to Twitter, but what if you want to display your recent tweets on your blog?
It happens to all of us. You're working on a post and something happens - your electricity goes out, your web browser crashes, or another unforseen circumstance.
If this happens, you might be able to recover your post since TypePad saves your post while you're composing. To restore your post, click the Restore Auto-Save Content button in the Rich Text editor. It's located here:
We also recommend that you save your post as a draft while you work on it, which is especially true for longer posts or posts that you spend a long time editing. The Restore Auto-Save Content feature should only be used in an emergency as the post is not actually saved to your account.
Yesterday, we announced that we're looking for independent retailers to list in the TypePad Shop. We will launch the shop just before Thanksgiving so if you want to be included before the holiday rush, be sure to submit your shop soon.
This is one of my favorite little tricks that doesn't require a ton of code.
Have you ever considered having your banner change each time your blog is loaded? Ever created two or more banners you absolutely love, which perfectly fit your blog, but then had a terrible time choosing which banner you should use?
When you highlight your favorite Amazon items in your sidebar, you can have your own Amazon Affiliates code automatically included in the links, giving you credit for any purchases.
We all know how important it is to attract readers to your blog, and then keep them coming back. One of the best ways to do this is to add options that make it easy for your readers to share your blog with their own friends and contacts.
All bloggers want to make sure that their blogs make the best possible impact on the most readers in the shortest space of time. The best way to do that is to make sure to display the most important information in a prominent position so that your readers can quickly discover what the blog is about, why they should stay on and read, and why they should come back for more.
The TypePad application supports use in a number of popular browsers for both PC and Mac computers, including the latest version of Internet Explorer 9.
YouTube has recently introduced a new tool which allows you to embed a bar displaying videos from a specified YouTube channel on your blog. It's easy to add the vertical video bar to your sidebar using the Embed Your Own HTML module.

Burlington's Colt Skillman won the 103lb class at the KSHSAA State wrestling championships this afternoon at Fort Hays State University. Colt avenged his only loss of the season in a rematch of last week's regional championship as he defeated Trey Francka of Chase County to claim the State Title. Colt finishes his senior season with a 37-1 record and the first State Title in BHS History.
Many of you have noticed the Widget Gallery is no longer available. Most widgets, however, can be found by performing an online search for the type of widget you want to have (e.g. RSS, Music, Amazon, Etsy, etc).
